Irwin L. Pitnick concentrates in the area of lender and investor matters as well as matrimonial, "retail" landlord-tenant matters and estates. Mr. Pitnick is counsel to over thirty private investors, landlords and speculators and represents these clients in the purchase, leasing and resale of single family dwellings, multifamily dwellings as well as commercial and industrial properties. Mr. Pitnick is also counsel to scores of commercial and private mortgagees including HSBC Mortgage, Chase Manhattan Mortgage, Countrywide Mortgage and other nationally and locally represented lenders.

Mr. Pitnick's expertise in the area of real estate has enabled him to represent over twenty five thousand purchasers, sellers and borrowers since his admission to the New York State Bar in 1967.

A 1967 graduate of the American University, Washington College of Law, Mr. Pitnick has become an established fixture in the real estate arena in downstate New York. He is a sought after lecturer and shares his expertise with by local realtors, investors, lenders, mortgage brokers and other allied real estate professionals.

Mr. Pitnick volunteers his time fundraising for various special causes, with a special concentration on those helping local hospitals and other community functions.

     C. Lance Margolin concentrates his practice in the area of lender representation. The vast bulk of his time is devoted to default matters such as foreclosures, REO's, evictions and title litigation. Mr. Margolin's clients include HSBC/Household Finance, Chase Home Mortgage, Centex Home Equity, AMC Mortgage Services, Fidelity National Default Services, Charter One Mortgage, First American Default Services, IndyMac Bank and other nationally known lenders and loan servicing companies. The roster includes Integrated Asset, US RES, First Preston and others.

Mr. Margolin is also well known in downstate New York as counsel to many purchasers and sellers of residential and commercial real estate. His client roster also includes scores of local and national landlords. This presence has given him the expertise necessary to be chosen as a featured lecturer by the Nassau County Bar Association for its Continuing Legal Education course entitled "Real Estate Law for Attorneys".

A 1983 graduate of the University of Bridgeport School of Law (now known as Quinnipiac School of Law), Mr. Margolin was admitted to practice law in New York in 1984. Since that time, he has been admitted to both the Southern and Eastern District Federal Courts in New York.

     Jeffrey Rosenberg joined the firm in February, 2003. He is a 1986 graduate of Cardozo Law School. Mr. Rosenberg has over 15 years of experience in general litigation. He has headed up teams of attorneys and support staff for major law firms, handling lender-related files in the areas of foreclosure, REOs, real estate and bankruptcy matters. He also represents buyers and sellers of commercial and residential real estate. His expertise allows him to also represent lenders in residential and commercial transactions.

Pitnick & Margolin, LLP was proud to announce that Mr. Rosenberg had became a partner in the firm in 2006.

Mr. Rosenberg lived in Puerto Rico from 1960 through 1974 and is fluent in Spanish.

     Jennifer L. Bernstein is a valuable associate at Pitnick & Margolin, LLP, having joined the firm in 2000. Ms. Bernstein has been responsible for helping to expand the firm's bankruptcy practice from an "accommodation" to our clients to a vibrant, sophisticated and significant portion of services that are offered to our clients.

A 1997 graduate of Hofstra University School of Law, Ms. Bernstein has been admitted to practice law in New York since 1998 and also before both the Southern and Eastern District Federal Courts in New York since 2000. Ms. Bernstein has become a regular fixture in the Bankruptcy Courts, successfully preparing, arguing and winning time after time, motions for relief from stay and other legal proceedings necessary to protect the interests of the firm's clients.

Ms. Bernstein brings to the firm wisdom and grace well beyond her years and has been embraced by the firm's clients for her legal skills and personal demeanor.
